Hobart Swan, external affairs manager for Mindjet, recently announced that he's leaving the company, effective February 16th, for a new position in Boise, ID - where he has been living for the past few years.
So what? Hobie was not only a very good PR guy, who worked tirelessly to build recognition for the company's MindManager software, he was also a passionate supporter of visual mapping. In addition, he was a very enthusiastic supporter of me and my online efforts (this blog, my mind mapping software e-books and InnovationTools.com) over the past 5 years. He'll be greatly missed by many in the world of mind mapping.
Best of luck to you in your new position, Hobie!
Thanks, Chuck. It has really been great getting to know you -- and to being enlightened on all manner of things mapping as a result of your work at InnovationTools. Your work has been a great source of both information and inspiration and, occasionally, fear--as we would learn from your posts about all the new mapping competitors our there. But, of course, competition is a good thing. It will be a great day when there is a vibrant market for mapping tools. Until then, keep up the fight!
